I bought a used 2005 toyota camry le and it didn't come with a book, which I didn't think was a big deal, but now the maintenance required light came on, and the dealership hasn't returned my calls. Does anyone know if this is a bad thing, or a regular maintenance thing?

I have a 05 Camry and one key less remote, I also have a leftover key less remote from a 06 Matrix. They have the same number of buttons can I reprogram the Matrix remote to work on the Camry and how can I do this.
A: look on the back of the remote for your camry there should be code numbers ,fcc numbers if all of these code numbers match exactly you should be able to sue the 06 matrix remote if they don't all match exactly then you out of luck it wont work at all ... try going on e-bay type in key fobs /remotes or you can go to www.stores.ebay.com/remotesuperstore ) then click on the Blue letters to go to the SuperStore it where i got my remote from and they send instructions on how to program it... good luck

A: To Program Wireless Remote Transmitters:
Begin with:
𐀀 The driver’s door open and unlocked.
𐀀 Key out of the ignition.
1. Insert and remove the key from the ignition switch 2 times within 5 seconds.
NOTE:
Steps 2 and 3 should be performed within 40 seconds.
2. Close and open driver’s door TWICE.
3. Insert the key into the ignition and remove it.
NOTE:
Steps 4 – 6 should be performed within 40 seconds.
4. Close and open the driver’s door twice.
5. Insert the key into the ignition.
6. Close the door.
NOTE:
Steps 5 and 6 should be reversed for the following models ONLY (close door first,
then insert key into ignition):
7. Turn the ignition switch from “Lock” to “On” and back to “Lock” at about 1 second
intervals to select the desired mode:
𐀀 1 time for ADD mode.
𐀀 2 times for REWRITE mode.
𐀀 3 times for CONFIRMATION mode.
8. Remove the key from the ignition.
9. To confirm your mode selection, the power locks will now cycle “lock” to “unlock” a
number of times corresponding to your key cycles in step 7.
NOTE:
If Confirmation or Prohibition modes have been selected, opening the door will
complete the procedure.
Programming
10. For Add or Rewrite modes do the following within 40 seconds of Door
Lock confirmation:
A. Press both transmitter Lock and Unlock buttons simultaneously between 1 and
1.5 seconds and release.
B. Within 3 seconds of step A, press the transmitter Lock button for more than 1
second and release.
𐀀 If the transmitter has been successfully programmed, the power locks will
cycle “lock” to “unlock” once at this time.
𐀀 If there are problems with the transmitter or the procedure up to this point, the
locks will cycle twice. If this occurs, verify that you have received the correct
transmitter, and then repeat the above procedure.
C. If multiple remotes are to be reprogrammed, repeat steps A and B.
11. Open the driver’s door to conclude programming mode.

I have a 2005 Toyota Camry LE, in the last (I would say) 2 months my car's anti-theft alarm goes off randomly when my car's parked and the engine's off and key in my pocket. When i park my car in the driveway it goes off about every couple of hours, i remember one time i parked my car in a KFC parking lot it goes off every 10 minutes or so. By the way, this is a stock OEM anti-theft alarm.
QUESTION:
1. could a low key fob's battery make it go off?
2. could a low car's battery make it go off?
3. could the cause be due to RFI or noisy environment?
4. how can i disable the alarm, do i need a wiring diagram or something?
5. can i go to a independent shop or do i have to go to the dealership?

A: It could be one of any of the above but before you do anything try removing the key and remote out of your pocket............I have seen many times where this can be the problem..........

A: How else are you going to get it?
Just go to the local locksmith, you will them listed in the Yellow Pages of your telephone book. They may send you to the dealer for a specialty key but that's where I would start.

A: If your tall and like to have room, than go for the camry, the corolla is small and doesn't really fit for tall people. i would choose the camry way over the corolla. camry looks way better than corolla, in my opinion.

should i buy it now and roll it into the payments which will make my monthly go up, or wait a couple of months (i won't put the 4,000 miles that would bring it to 60,000 miles making the cost of the warranty increase between now and when i have the 1500 for the warranty outright), and go back to the toyota dealership and get one then? also, what is usually the problems associated with a toyota camry le? like is it the transmission, brakes, etc, much obliged!
A: NO I would not buy an extended warranty. Those cars are very solid. Keep it maintained properly and you'll be just fine. Extended warranties are simply in place for the dealer to make money, that's all there is to it. Don't listen to their scare tactics.

A: yeah its really good. I drove it before too. Its big, roomy for both passengers and driver, has a good crash test rating, and its reliable. It is also fuel effiecient and as you should know, toyota goes for over 250,000 miles and will almost never give you a problem. My uncle has a 04 toyota camry and it has 165,000 miles as of last month and he told me that he never took it to the shop besides for minor things such as brakes, timing belt, ect

A: should be in ur owners manual. try to hold down the trip odometer button while you turn the key to the on position(without starting the motor) for 5 seconds. you will see a countdown on the mileage screen. once it goes back to the miles, the maintenance light should be off now.

A: toyota did the major redesign for the 2002 year. from 2002 to 2006 there were just minor differences, tail lights, grill changes, interior cloth designs or fabrics, exterior colors, etc.. almost all the changes were minor at best and very few of them noticable.
being that im not in the sales side like i used to be im not 100% sure. but i think there has been a few minor engine tweaks as well from 2002 to 2006. but not 100% sure.
w/ 2007 there were engine changes, body changes and changes just about everywhere.

The hood is nearly perfect, primed and ready to paint. There is a nearly invisable flaw that should be able to be readily repaired. It can only be seen at an oblique angle. Is it still saleable?
