Q: Where can I obtain a free 2003 owners manual for Toyota Camry?
I recently brought a 2003 Toyota Camry and the owner lost the manual to the car. Is there any sites that I can go to,in order to obtain the actual manual or the PDF file of the manual?
A: You can go to Toyota's web site and see if there is a place where you can download it. Other than that you might try some of the local salvage yards in your area.
Q: How much would a 2003 Toyota Camry cost, with a blown up engine?
It has gently used, but for some reason the engine blew up.
It has 90k miles on the engine.
It is very clean, no visible scratch or dings.
The dealer wants 10k for a new engine and 5k for used engine.
So I'm just thinking of selling this one and buying a different car.
A: You might be able to get 3500 - 5000 for it without an engine, but I would get the used engine and fix it. If it only has 90k on it and no problems anywhere else, it is worth it. Give it a good thought! Good luck!
Q: How do you program a transponder key for a 2003 Toyota Camry?
I am thinking about purchasing a key on Ebay and want to program it once it is cut. This is a transponder key not the remote.
A: A programmer is needed to program the keys, but it is not true that only the Toyota dealer has the technology. Any large town will have a dedicated automotive locksmith with the capability, and many rural 1 man operations (such as myself) also are quite capable or programming the keys. Compare prices dealer vs locksmith...the dealer IS sometimes cheaper if you don't have to drive to another city.
Q: What is wrong with my 2003 toyota camry car alarm?
Before on rare nights the car alarm will give a warning sound like if you bang on the car it will honk four quick honks but and not completely set off. It seems like it's happening everynight. I really don't think someones tampering with it because I glimpsed outside right after it's happened and nobody is there? Could there be sensitivity problem or something?
A: 2003 Camry did not come with a security system from the factory, and those top end models don't have sensor with the alarm. It is an after market alarm system. Look under the dash board, it should be a small sqaure box with a small adjustment that you can turn with a small screwdriver. Turn it to the required setting so that the alarm is not so sensitive to motion.
Q: 2003 Toyota Camry check engine light came on, but turned off next day. What to do?
I want to know if this is could be an electrical issue, or if something could be wrong with my engine. I'm sure it could be anything, but I'm hoping someone out there has had a similar experience as I did.
A: This is not unusual especially among Toyota Camry owners. You might have just filled up on gas after getting close to an almost empty tank. What may have occurred is the vacuum that you experience when you first open the gas filler cap and some air may have escaped. This sends a message to the computer of an "abnormality" and sends a signal to the sensors and triggers a check engine light.
Q: 2003 Toyota Camry problems... non working cig lighter and power adapter?
2003 Toyota Camry, cigarette lighter and power adapter not working. Changed fuse inside the car for cigarette lighter, still didn't work. Was told there is another fuse under hood, didn't see anything labeled cig lighter. Help??
A: The cover on the fuse box under the hood should tell you where the "aux" fuse is
Q: Is it possible to buy a remote door opener for a 2003 Toyota Camry?
I had one, but I lost it. Is it possible to purchase one anywhere? If so, are they expensive? How do they get programmed? Is there any other Information I need to know about them? Or, should I just get used to unlocking my car doors by using the key?
A: The easiest and cheapest answer you've already mentioned. Just use the keys. But let's face it, it's so much more fun and easier to just push a button to unlock the doors. It actually might cost more to replace the keys than the pushbutton module.
Call your Toyota dealer. That's best place to check. The parts dept would tell you how much it'd cost to buy new module and set it up. Heck, they may have them already in stock and set up to use. But expect it to easily be over $100. After all....it's a DEALER, and nothing's cheap at a dealership.
Now, if you had lost your keys, THAT would be much more expensive than just the push button module. I'm glad I drive a 1991 car that doesn't have the keys with chip inside it, that's what makes it so damn expensive to replace. The computer chip inside they key is what lets the car start.
So call a couple diff dealers if you can to check prices, you might get cheaper at one of them.
Q: How do I remove my factory cd player from my 2003 Toyota Camry XLE?
I've tried everything! nothing seems to be working. I cannot find that one thing to disassemble so then i can take other stuff off. It's really frustrating me and I don't want to do anything else that would result in breaking the wood-finish piece. Please guide me if you know how to remove the radio. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
A: Why don't you just take it to the shop. It doesn't cost a lot of money to take it out. It costs a lot less than a new finish piece.
Q: How do I remove the interior door handle for a 2003 Toyota Camry?
How can I take off the interior door panel so I can get to the door handles? Thanks!
A: remove any screws, and any other things that are held on by screws, then pop the panel loose around the edge with a flat handled tool such as a screw driver, and that's about it,be careful as you do this, make sure all clips and screws are removed, and the panel will pop right off, good luck hope this helps.
Q: What would the best way be to connect my ipod touch to my 2003 toyota camry?
I really want to listen to my ipod in the car, but i dont really know how. Any help would be appreciated ...thanks
A: ask at your nearest autozone or superstore(sterio department) and ask for ipod installation cables or devices and they can help you with more detail
Q: I just had Circuit City install a remote start for my 2003 toyota camry, now my car dies whenever i stop.?
They installed it yesterday and when i went to get in it this morning the remote start button would not turn the car over enough to start it. then it died four times on me, once when i backed out of the drive and the others when it was idleing at stop lights. my check engine light was also on. Why would it do this?
A: It sounds like they installed the starter interrupt improperly. normally it should kill the engine when it is remotely started and the brake is pressed. This is an anti theft feature. Also the reason it doesn't turn over is because they didn't properly adjust the cranking time. I hate to say it but I could keep myself in business just fixing the stuff that best buy and circuit city screw up. The reason being that most of these place just employ some teenager who put a stereo in his friends car this one time and doesn't have any kind of formal training. I would recommend that you try to get your money back and go to a car stero shop usually these guys have a lot more experience
Q: How do I change a Fog lamp on a 2003 Toyota Camry?
My mom was driving down the interstate and a pile of snow came off of a semi and crashed into her front end. I've been trying to look for some kind of directions online and have failed. Can you help me out? Can you also recomend a place to buy the fog lamp, mom doesn't have a lot of money (neither do I!)
Thanks,
Pete
A: follow the wires into the back of the lamp you will see small clip silver push the two ends together and pull it back the bulb will come out if you pull the wires unplug it from the socket. They cost about 20 bucks any auto store should carry them
Q: How can I increase the audio volume on the turn signal flasher on my 2003 Toyota Camry?
A: you cant, it is not audio, it is a relay that is clicking on and off.
Q: My dad is selling me his 2003 toyota camry for 6,000 dollars what do you think?
Damn good deal I think! It's a toyota camry le and it has 100,000 miles on it.. he has been the only owner... but are the miles high for a 2003? Also what do you think about camrys?
I thought that I would add that it is in GREAT condition, and it is mostly highway miles from his driving from oregon to california and back.. also he just put new tires on it and says that he had 100,000 mile check up or service, i can't remember which it is.
A: Yeah, pretty sweet deal. Kelly Blue Book says the 2003 Toyota Camry LE Sedan 4D at 100,000 miles goes for in a private party sale about this much depending on the condition:
Condition-------Value
Excellent------$9,885
Good-----------$9,025
Fair-------------$7,955
I noticed some people say your dad should just give you the car and I say that's wrong. Once you're a grown up your parents don't owe you anything, least of all a car.
It sounds like your parents taught you that the idea of "giving" is no better than the idea of stealing or begging. Instead you learned that anything you want in life you have to earn. The products of your mind and your hard work is the only worth you have, where self-esteem comes from, where happiness is found, how money is made, and how society is best run for the sake of everyone equally, not by force, but by fair trade.
Q: What is cause of oil filter falling off 2003 4-Cyl Toyota Camry? Has anyone ever heard of such an occurence?
2003 Toyota Camry 4-cy.
I was just driving and Check Oil Pressure Light came on. I was attempting to drive to nearest point of relief when engine stalled. Coudn't start it. Had to tow it. Discovered that oil was splattered on lower engine. Tech said that oil filter was missing and had fallen off. I had oil changed 3200 miles ago. Engine is now frozen. Need new engine?
A: If the oil filter fell off, the person who put it on didn't tighten it enough. It's not a common occurrence for an oil filter to fall off -- if it were, people would be blowing up their engines constantly. You need to take it up with the service station that changed your oil the last time. If they give you the runaround, take them to small claims court. That shouldn't happen.
