Q: Is this a reasonable price for 2001 Toyota Camry CE?
Hi, I am planning to buy a car. I checked out a car and here are the details about it: - 2001 Toyota Camry CE with 89000 miles. Car is well maintained both interior and exterior(has no dents or scratches). Its a 4-Cyl., 2.2 liter engine with automatic transmission, Power steering, power door locks, power seats, power windows, cruise control, dual front air bags, AM/FM stereo, cassette, single CD changer, ABS (4 wheel) etc. Spark plugs and the wires were replaced recently. Battery is a new one. Well maintained with record of all maintenance done. Clean title history and is purchased from dealer at 75K miles. Wheel alignment would be done by the seller before selling. When checked, found that tires still has some threading but for steady usage, needs replacement in near future. The seller is asking 5300 for the car. Is it reasonable? How much do you suggest I should ask for? Please help me out with this. Thanks

A: have the car checked out by a mechanic before you buy well worth the money

Q: 2001 Toyota Camry Electrical Problem I Think? Please Help!?
Well ok so my wife has a 2001 4 cylinder Toyota Camry CE. car has been working good. but the other day she came to pick me up shut it off then when i came out to ask her what movies she wanted me to rent she thought we were leaving so she started the car (then turned it off) when i asked her then i went in and came back out she started it again and turned it off (they didnt have the right movie) anyways so then i go back in and when i come out the last time the car doesnt start it just makes like a loud click click click sound and it just kept doing that so i figured the battery had died because she had been listening to the radio when it was turned off so the next day i took the battery to autozone and they said it was still good and just needed a charge so i put it back in and the car started fine but when the car was on idle for like 5 minutes it started kinda shaking a little like maybe it wanted to shut off its never done that before what could be wrong?

A: How old is the battery? If the battery is less than 2 yrs old, it's either the alternator or the relay (Autozone will test both free also). Since the battery is holding a charge, the alternator is probably not charging it back up effectively or fully. Have those two things checked out.

Q: 2001 toyota camry mirrors?
what year camry mirrors would fit a 2001 camry CE. i think only 00 and 01 will fit but not sure

A: A 1997- 1999 has the same door style and of coars 2000- 2001 does but a 1997- 1999 has the same body though the front grille and headlights were restyled and the taillights. but a 1997- 2001 mirror will work on that car.

Q: Are hub caps on the Toyota Camry CE compatible with those on the LE?
I am looking for an OEM hub cap to replace the one I lost on my 2001 Toyota Camry LE. According to the manual and toyota.com these are 15" hub caps with 6 spokes. I found one on ebay but it came off a CE model so I want to confirm that the two are compatible before I bid. Where is a good place to look for an OEM hubcap besides a dealership, manufacturer, or junkyard (I called about 10 and none had what I was looking for)?

A: yes i do believe they are compatible. it may look different but i am sure as long as it 15" it will fit your car. try craigslist.org and/or motors.ebay.com i live in los angeles, ca and there is a guy selling one hubcap oem for a camry for $20 i think its a different style than yours but look around on your local city for craigslist.org and ebay, com http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/pts/976669837.html good chance you can find some used ones out there.

Q: Which wud u cnsider cool for a first car:2001 Daewoo Nubira SE **1998 Toyota Camry CE/LE/X, Honda Civic 1997?
which would you consider ideal for a first timer?

A: Camry is a great choice, but very conservative and a boring style...more "family oriented". I just sold my 1998 civic..had 17" rims, a kicking stereo, and other asthetic mods on it..a head turner with the "kids" and sold it in an instant. (I am 40's). Loved it..great on gas, just didn't want a stick anymore. Daewoo who???not a chance.

Q: What should I do if the check engine light in my car comes on and then turns off a few days later?
Car Info: 2001 Toyota Camry CE I noticed that it seems to lurch a little bit when idling at a light or in park. I don't know much about cars but could it have something to do with the idling control sensor (if such a thing actually exists) ?

A: it's something minor. a sensor most likely. you can go to a local autozone and have them read the code for you and it is free of charge. maybe a.. idle control valve o2 sensor throttle position sensor

Q: Rear Light Sign In A Camry?
my parents own a 2001 Toyota Camry CE for the past 2 yrs its been great but now theres this sign that keeps coming and it says to check our rear lights. we checked them and they're fine. anybody know whats going on and how to stop it.

A: don't have camry, thats what i have found on the net: 1)first. check if the reverse light signals are working when you put the car in reverse. 2) some people reported that it could be due to a broken wire in a rear lights harnes 3) some other people reported that it could be due to a bad park/neutral switch (newer automatic transmition cars have them) http://www.automotivehelper.com/topic128166.htm

Q: What reliable convertible can I get for under $8,000?
I have a 2001 Toyota Camry CE and I'm moving to LA and want a convertible. What could I get for a good price that won't fall apart on me? I'm not sporty but I would like to enjoy the sun and openness of a convertible. I'm not into spoilers and custom body parts or anything like that. I thought about a Honda Del Sol but I feel like whatever goes wrong with it I won't be able to find a part for it or something like that. It seems too good to be what I want. It's cheap, convertible, small, looks good... I also don't want something that's a target for thieves that's why I want to sell my Camry!!!

A: Miata! I have 2 one is a Speedmiata ( That wont be under 8k) but my other one has 135k miles and it has been incredible! It is my everyday driver! I live in Tx and the heat and humidity tends to destroy cars especially VW (Used to work for them mucho problems in the hot states great in the cooler states expensive with high miles!) Mazda's are mechanically simple not alot of frills and run forever

Q: Is the Honda Del Sol a reliable car?
I'm looking for a '95 or '97 Honda Del Sol and wanted to know if it was a good car. I'm moving to LA soon and want to sell my 2001 Toyota Camry CE. I don't know anything about cars so I'd like to not run into any problems with the Del Sol.Is this car reliable? Also, where could I buy one? Also, if the miles are low does it matter how old the car is?

A: hondas are great reliable cars. They run forever and great on gas. look in the classified ads in your locaal town and make sure you have a machanic check it out before you buy it. because with all cars you never know what the previous owner has done to it. just get a lagit mechanic!!

Q: Repair torn off bumper cover?
I have a 2001 Toyota Camry CE that has had its front bumper cover torn off (caught on the edge by a chain link fence while in reverse). The holes for the screws on the top edge of the cover have all been torn through. My plan is to try to repair the torn screw holes in the bumper cover. I understand this bumper cover is made of thermoplastic olefin (TPO)-mainly polyethylene and polypropylene (reference found online) and won't bond well with many epoxies. I'm thinking of using 3M's DP-8005 adhesive for low-energy plastics ( http://multimedia.mmm.com/mws/mediawebserver.dyn?6666660Zjcf6lVs6EVs666M8oCOrrrrQ- ) such as TPOs and gluing a piece of another bumper cover over the torn part, drilling a hole, and reattaching the cover to the car. Does this seem workable? Strong enough? Any better ideas? I considered using a steel washer instead of the plastic but I'm concerned it won't bond as well to the cover as would a similar TPO material. Thanks!

A: Great stuff foam in a can is very sticky! I have a ford contour with black plastic bumper that was cracked & flexing around. I simply made a small hole for the hose & filled it with foam in a can & it stuck really well.
